“ Went to grab some some appetizers but the dessert was the best thing ever. Definitely coming back for the calamari and the dessert options. Excellent service and I like the ambiance. ”
“ I love this restaurant its the second time ive been here. Everything was perfect. Alexander was an amazing waiter ”
“ Our server, Dominick, was a delight. He explained the items we were considering in such great detail and was clearly super knowledgeable about the menu. He and/or Lisa, the manager, checked on us between each course and ensured that our water and cocktails were refilled to our liking. Aside from being great hosts, they were both incredibly charismatic, great jokesters, and lovely to chat with. The food hit all of the marks. We had the shrimp scampi, which has a very unique sauce flavored with Calabrian chilis. We also ordered the French dip, which was super tender and accompanied by a perfectly tangy dijon sauce. While my husband is not a fan of apple desserts, I convinced him to try some of my apple pie and he loved it (even finished the whole thing). I would certainly recommend The Smith for a comfortable and fulfilling dinner experience. ”
“ Went for brunch with my bestie. The place was packed but we had reservations so we were seated immediately. You can tell they are really good with accommodating larger parties. There were a few there. The place is huge but doesn't feel overwhelming it still feels spacious. Pablo was our server and he was so sweet and friendly and very helpful with his recommendations. The food was amazing. We both had the smith burger mine was medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Fries were to died for and the mixed green were delicious. Basil lemon drop was sweet but could have been a little stronger. Can wait to go back. ”
“ This location of The Smith continues to be a fav of mine! My friend and I were searching for a brunch spot today and after no luck at 2 other spots, we got in here without a reservation. Thankful for you, Smith!! This was my first time trying brunch here and OMG was it amazing. I had the potato benny, which is essentially smoked salmon benedict but with a potato waffle base instead of an english muffin. The potato waffle was literally a big crispy hash brown. It was so good! I loved the hollandaise sauce too. My friend and I both were raving about it! She had the steak and eggs and loved it as well. I also had a cappuccino to drink and it was perfect. I will be dreaming of this eggs benedict! 10/10 recommend for brunch! ”
“ Great menu. Great service. It's can get a bit loud but it's not too bad. Price isn't bad for NYC. ”
“ I can now say I've been to all The Smith locations! I find them to always be consistent food wise and everything is always delicious. It was an unseasonably warm Sunday afternoon so we opted to sit outside. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which hands down is the best I've ever had. Bacon, buttery eggs, cheese, avocado, aioli on a delicious brioche bun. Also came with a huge amount of home fries. So good!!!! I'm going to give them 4 out of 5 stars because our waitress was hard to find at times, and sitting outside probably exacerbated the issue. My friend ordered an espresso, I ordered a matcha latte. The food arrived, but our drinks were still missing. I had to tell the person who dropped off the food (not our waitress) the drinks were missing. The drinks eventually came but the Matcha latte was cold making me think it was forgotten and just sitting there. I pointed out it was cold and they did bring me a new one. When it came time to pay, again it was hard to find the waitress since we were sitting outside. I will stress the food is always delicious. You can't go wrong at The Smith! ”
“ My friends and I are still talking about the excellent experience at The Smith for Thanksgiving. Judging by reservations sold out across all 4 NYC locations by October and The Smith topping article lists as one of the best spots for Thanksgiving, I knew we would be in for a treat. It was jam packed when we arrived. The ambience couldn't be cozier. I loved the dim lighting and ceramic tile decor. No stranger to The Smith, I've dined here in the past for brunch and dinner and it was always a great experience. Three course pre-fixe at $82 was a very good value. Additional sides brought to the table ( Brussel Sprouts, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce) was an added bonus. Our selections mirrored each others and we started out with the Autumnal/holiday drink known as the Gatsby. This delicious drink combined Gin, Prosecco, Lemon, Hibiscus and Pomegranate. I substituted Vodka for Gin for my drink. It was a well made, delicious start to the meal. We loved the red Christmas-y color. For starters, we selected the Salmon Tartare. Though it was good, it wasn't the typical tartare we were accustomed to. Theirs was creamier and more like a spread served with crackers. As a result, I should have selected the Apple Crisp Salad while others in my group regretted not getting the Ricotta Gnocchi with the Truffle Cream sauce. Since it was Thanksgiving we chose the traditional turkey meal although for non turkey folks, there were other choices such as Salmon. The turkey slices were placed on a bed of fresh whipped mashed potatoes and spinach. So delicious. The sides as mentioned were excellent and at times, a smaller than average portion for sharing since there were several of us. In fact, we had to ask for more gravy. Wine accompanied our meal and my selection was a crisp Rose. Nearly maxed out and feeling full, the dessert calling my name ended up being the Pumpkin Cheesecake. Since I was really full, I thought this would be the cheesy kind of cheesecake but theirs was feather light and so so good. We never felt rushed and after savoring our delicious meal, we left extremely satisfied 2 1/2 hours later. Friendly service albeit a little slow at times but it was no big deal as we appreciated a lull between courses. A real gem for Thanksgiving or any other time. ”
“ TLDR; good food, great choice for a group with different taste preferences. Lots of options for gluten free accommodations. Vibe - large restaurant with moody vibes and lots of charm. I've been several times for dinner and it can get pretty loud inside. Our waiter was really fun and kind. The waitstaff always give excellent recommendations based on what you like. Food - I've been to the smith 3 times now. Twice for dinner and once for brunch. I've always enjoyed my meal. I usually avoid mentioning price since I'm from out of town BUT I do find their entrees reasonable compared to other restaurants I've been to in the city. This trip I ordered the short rib pasta which I really enjoyed. It was flavorful and the ratio of protein to pasta was perfect. We also got the Mac and cheese to start which was good but far too rich for the group. I wouldn't order that again. ”
